Job Title: Solution Architect
Location: Dublin, Ireland

Job Purpose and primary objectives:
- The Solution Architect is the technical glue that holds the project together.
- He/She provides the technical goals, the vision and the design for each solution, working directly with the business from project inception to support handover to ensure that business problems are solved and not augmented by the project.
- The architect guides and mentors the technical staff, making decisions and removing technical blockers.
- He/She works with their project management partner, to anticipate, circumvent and solve technical project shortfalls.
- The first line of defense against the unpredictability of software development, they must be creative, resourceful and able to work at any technical level to solve problems.
Key responsibilities
- Working with the business to define, design and estimate solutions.
- Designing, documenting and presenting application architecture.
- Maintaining both incremental and master design documentation.
- Guiding development teams, conducting code and design reviews.
- Working with DevOps to oversee unit testing and build reporting.
- Enforcing technical standards for design, code and unit testing.
- Participating in daily stand-ups, making technical decisions and clearing technical road blocks.
- Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, meet the needs of business, the agreed requirements and are both pragmatic and supportive of the Divisional strategic architecture direction.
- - Has a comprehensive understanding of Solutions Architecture.
- Designing, documenting and presenting application architecture
- Working with DevOps to oversee unit testing and build reporting
- Performing Proof of Concept work on new technology
- Defining design patterns, framework and standards definition.
- Participating in bi-weekly Architectural Review Board for reviewing project designs and approving new technologies.
- Performing Proof of Concept work on new technology.
- Identifying refactoring and consolidation opportunities.
Supervisory/Managerial responsibilities (please specify if the position will have persons reporting to it):
- Have managed multi location teams in past
- Other responsibilities - Budgets, targets, equipment etc
Key Skills/Knowledge:
- Leasing and Commercial Finance
- Technology: Java, J2EE, Frameworks, Designer Patterns and willing to learn new technologies
- Should be capable of understanding concepts of various technologies and able to provide technology guidance to application development teams
- Familiarity on various Architectural Patterns
- Knowledge on Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman.
- Stakeholder management: Ability to work with Business and Technology teams to design solutions
