Your New role:-
Our client is seeking for a Front End developer who will be responsible for temporarily replacing a staff member on short term leave (3 months eventually renewable). The chosen candidate will take on development for internal/external websites and web applications. This role will take ownership over several web properties and projects, working with a talented and passionate web development team and business partners from all different geographies and business groups. You will deliver great looking, usable and high-profile web solutions.
What will you do.
- Front End developer for Digital Channels team - will be working on component and web project development within web content management system (HP TeamSite) and without
- Leverage new web frameworks and tools to deliver modern solutions (Bootstrap, Kendo, React.js, are preferred)
- React.js is specifically required for immediate project responsibilities
- Drive and manage individual web projects for internal and external audiences - and assist in Front End application development in collaboration with other groups
- Build trusted relationships with business partners, marketing, and communications
- Collaborate with the web development team on day-to-day requests
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- Must be fluent in both French and English, written and verbal.
- Solid Front End development knowledge: HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript; JavaScript frameworks such as React.js; Web user interface toolkits such as JQuery
- Server Side Scripting - ASP, Java, C# preferred
- Databases - SQL/MS SQL
- Development tools - Subversion, Git; MS Visual Studio, Eclipse
- Adobe creative suite - creating graphics; slicing PSDs
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Technical background (eg Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development or other relevant field)
Desirable Skills:-
- Skills in browser-specific debugging and optimization (we support Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera) - and device-specific tuning (mobile, responsive design)
- HP TeamSite development expertise, XSLT, Java
- Experience in a business environment
