A Contract Senior Information Security Consultant role has recently become available with global IT Software House, based in either Warwickshire or Gloucestershire. Reporting to the Head of Information Security, this role offers a great opportunity to assist with the implement ion and enhancements to the businesses InfoSec systems and processes.
About the Contract Senior Information Security Consultant role:
In this Senior Information Security Consultant position you will be responsible for delivering improvements to the way information security is performed and communicated within the business. You will be working closely with both business and technical stakeholders and will be auditing and/or assisting with the implementation of controls, providing advice and providing user awareness training. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing responses to client compliance requests, briefings and new business opportunities.
- Performing threat modelling alongside development teams.
- Manage and coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
- Deputising for the Head of Information Security when required.
Essential experience:
- Operation of an ISO 27001 aligned Information Security Management System.
- Introducing security improvements within an IT software development environment.
- Performing audits and risk assessments of 3rd parties.
- Performing application security testing and using software code analysis tools.
- Running vulnerability management tools and services.
Desirable experience:
- CISSP/CISM/CISA/CRISC Certification(s) (or overseas equivalent)
- ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
The ideal candidate for this Contract Senior Information Security Consultant role will have a good mix of hands-off and hands-on experience and will be confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
