Description
We are supporting a Global Renewable Energy client on its search for a WTG Fabrication & Quality Manager/Supervisor for their offshore wind farm project. This is a 15-month freelance contract starting 1st July 2016 up until 31st August 2017, with the possibility extending further thereafter. This will be 8 hours per day on average, with the work pattern being 100% for the first 3 months, 75% Q4 and %, but this maybe subject to changeResponsibilities:
- Investigate the process instructions against existing production practice covering the full manufacture process, materials incoming to final dispatch
- Validate the operate training is consistent to the best practice
- To provide an independent gauge on the training effectiveness
- To provide an independent gauge on the programme progress from on the ground observation
- Evaluate and progress monitor on key equipment and process development as they were proven and transferred
- Proactively inform and communicate product quality assurance concerns identified throughout the entire process, driving activities with stakeholders
- Deliver against the clients quality control objectives and develop same based on direct experience and learnings
- 3 years of work experience within wind and or/manufacturing
- 1 years experience in working in a similar position
- Must be a good communicator both verbally and written
- Knowledge of blade manufacturing and composite material
The Consultant must bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software and mobile telephone
