- Leveraging group wide spend to drive best value from suppliers and delivering value across Barclays
- Setting strategies and plans for suppliers and categories with the business
- Delivering effective spend management across a variety of categories of spend for the entire BUK business unit.
- Setting the risk appetite for Sourcing and Third-Party Supplier Risk Management within the business unit
- The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing/supporting BUK specific sourcing initiatives.
- The role holder shall have the following accountabilities and responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and support the development and execution of strategies and plans for BUK Sourcing, with deals covering an influenceable spend of c£1.2 bn
- Providing Sourcing subject matter expertise to assist in marketplace reviews, vendor selection and in creating service level agreements
- Leading and supporting sourcing related activities including RFPs, direct negotiations, reverse auctions and contracting as appropriate to find the best sourcing solution to meet business and commercial requirements
- Leading and managing commercial negotiations with BUK related suppliers, ensuring favourable commercial terms which mitigate business risk and ensuring robust SLAs
- Identifying and pro-actively seeking savings opportunities across category spend by supporting category strategy across the organisation
- Supporting the Business use appropriate processes and systems to execute sourcing and manage Third Party spend efficiently, ensuring adequate controls are in place eg contract award recommendation procedures, segregation purchasing
- Establishing and developing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure Business requirements are met
- Maintaining all associated data within the Bank systems including input of own agreements, service details and payment forecasts onto a Contracts Database
- Working collaboratively across the GSSM Team to deliver Sourcing and cross BU/Function agendas
