Systems Security Engineer
A world leader in advanced communication systems seeks a Security Engineer passionate about Software Security design, specifically software running on an Embedded Linux platform. I am looking for an individual with a software development background but who in recent projects has become more heavily involved in security standards and regulations, a person who can act as the interface between the business and the technical teams.
As a Systems Security Engineer your responsibilities will involve
- Designing Software Security Architecture for satellite communication products for aeronautical safety services
- Understanding and applying relevant security standards and regulations
- Describing and assisting in the implementation of Security processes in the development process
- Assessing network security and creating threat analysis reports
- Penetration testing and creation of Security Vulnerability reports for company products
Your role will be in the R&D department at the HQ in Copenhagen area which is the largest of four development sites. You will be joining one of our most exciting and advanced product development projects in the company.
The Systems Security Engineer should have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
Bachelor Degree or higher in computer science, electronics, Management Information System or related field with several years of experience with software and possibly hardware security design preferably from a regulated industry (Aero, Medico, Automotive) or alternative practical experience in the field of Embedded Linux platform development/management with focus on software/hardware security.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have
- Understanding of the Software Product Lifecycle and role that Security Engineer plays in ensuring awareness of safe, secure and robust software design and implementation.
- Knowledge of IT Security
- Experience with penetration tools and vulnerability scanning
- Programming experience in C, C++, Scripting languages
- Experience with Software Design and implementation on Embedded platforms
- Experience with RTCA DO-178C, 326A, 355, 356, NIST standards, ISO/IEC 20000, 27000, 15408, etc. is a plus
You are a cooperative team player, pragmatic and adaptable. You must show initiative and be self-motivated, ie be able to work with a minimum of supervision. Your analytic mindset enables you to investigate work items and propose practical solutions quickly. Your excellent organizational skills enable you to handle multiple tasks concurrently. English is the working language but knowledge of Danish would be a bonus.
