A large Utilities organisation based in the East Midlands require a Management Accountant/Gross Margin Manager with a proven track record of driving change, accounting and reporting.
Location - East Midlands
Duration 6 months
Essential skill requirements:
A professional accountancy qualification.
A demonstrable track record in a similar role, including a good working knowledge of the payment process and control frameworks.
Proven people management and leadership experience with aptitude of developing people.
The ability to handle and interpret large volumes of data using a variety of techniques such as pivot tables and charts.
An aptitude for working under high pressure to tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills - you'll know how to influence outcomes by conveying your ideas clearly and compellingly to senior managers.
An innovative approach, especially when it comes to developing new approaches and adapting methods to provide insight and practical operational information.
A strong aptitude for control processes and attention to detail
Desirable skills:
Knowledge of electricity and gas industry processes and an understanding of how these influence gross margin accounting and reporting.
A good understanding of retailing' systems with a proven understanding of how these can be utilised in gross margin accounting.
An understanding of the energy market and the external influences which impact energy prices and other gross margin costs.
