The Senior Software Developer will report to Development Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform system analysis, design, development and implementation of enterprise software and scalable solutions in a high transaction environment.
- Work collaboratively with Customers, Upper Management, Development Managers, Architecture, QA, Operations and other Software Developers in producing quality software products utilizing best practice methodology and technology.
- Use industry best practices to implement challenging and new software and provide support to existing applications.
- Work independently and as a team member
- Technically manage projects from conception to delivery
- Participate in tool selection and design decisions
- Collaborate with different development teams located at international locations
- Create professional technical specifications and documents
- Work in a team of software engineers and data specialists
- Introduce software and data improvements, allowing the company to outperform competitors
- Continuously suggests improvements and optimizations of processes, tools and solutions
Qualifications:
- Experience in various SDLC agile and lean methodologies like Scrum and XP
- Advanced knowledge on Java Standard edition and Java EE
- Good understanding of Design patterns
- SQL and ORM knowledge
- Experience with Oracle databases, source code management tools (e.g. Git), testing methodologies, tools and libraries (JUnit)
- Multiple years of experience with Javascript, JQuery, HTML5, AJAX, CSS
- Good to have skills:
-- Experience with Ant & Maven, NoSQL databases, Javascript web frameworks, e.g. AngularJS, ReactJS, BackbonoeJS etc.
-- Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins or others)
-- Knowledge on Web services based on CXF, JAXB and REST
- Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- Analytical thinking, passion and commitment to quality.
- Must be performance driven, detail, and results oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast paced team-oriented environment
