Escheatment Assistant
Description:
Actively participate in the Escheatment Process.
Organize large amount of data in terms of mail, emails and faxes.
Working with sensitive information that would be under HIPPA.
Demonstrate superior attention to details in ensuring that final documents are usable and of high quality.
Top Daily Responsibilities:
1. Handle large volume of mail, emails and faxes
a. Date stamp received
b. Sort by complete or follow up
2. Update the G/L Account Recon - Working copy
a. R - Reissued
b. RO - Return to Owner
c. Void
d. ER - Issued In Error
3. Update the Access Check Data Base
a. Generate check requests
4. Retrieve phone messages
5. Return phone calls
6. Provide customer service
7. Perform related duties as assigned or requested
8. Ability to understand and apply regulatory compliance standards (HIPPA, SOX, etc.)
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of direct relevant experience.
Need individuals that recognize the importance of confidentiality and privacy.
Speak and write clearly so that others may understand you.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
trong spreadsheet (Excel) skills and aptitude for numbers
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage own workload and meet deadlines
Ability to think critically and ask good questions
Attention to details
1 year College major in English preferred, HS/GED required
Prefer a process oriented person who is organized and can develop good habits around filing and documentation
Ability to build good working relationships within the department and across departmental lines
