Description

A global Renewable Energy client is looking for x2 consultants to work as SCADA Commissioning Engineers to work on their offshore substation fabrication facility. This is expected to be a 14 month freelance contract role to start 4th July 2016 up until approx 31st August 2017 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. This role will be based in Belgium 70% duration, 5 working days per week, approx. 10hrs a day, UK 30% (offshore) the shift pattern is to be decided.   

  

Responsibilities:



- Report to SCADA technical managers stationed on site on quality and execution progress

- Give input to the commissioning time schedule within the site

- Day-to-day management, co-ordination and documentation of the SCADA commissioning work

- Coordination commissioning activities with SCADA contractors and Electrical installation & commission manager

- Ensure that the work is in compliance with the project HSE rules and local legislation

- Sign off and approve SCADA, contractor check list

- Secure quality of commissioning works and documentation

- Report commissioning progress / participate in commissioning meetings



  Qualifications:  



- Qualified Electrical Engineer

- Previous experience within UK Energy Market

- Experience of SCADA systems

- Experience within the UK construction sector

- Experience of NGET SCADA interface

- CSCS/ECITB Qualification required

- Must have all valid relevant GWO certificate 



Special Provisions:  



- The Consultants will be required to bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and mobile telephone.

- The Consultants must have his/her own PPE equipment (Personal Protection Equipment)
