Description
The role at global bank in Southampton for a product manager within the Life and Pensions division as come about. The role reports to the Senior Product &Team Manager (SPTM), Wealth Insurance. The WI team manages the integrity, promotion, maintenance and development of new and existing protection and life investment products within the range manufactured or sourced by the bank. The main purpose of the role is to provide support to the SPTM within the team.

CONTRACT: 12 MONTHS
RATE: £300 PER DAY
LOCATION: SOUTHAMPTON
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the SPTM within the team.
- Support the design of products to meet the requirements of the Wealth Insurance Products and Propositions Team.
- Support the delivery of initiatives to improve customer experience.
- Assist in the management of the components of insurance risk (retention, expenses, claims, underwriting) that impact the HSBC Life (UK) protection products.
- Assist in the analysis of customer satisfaction measures (including complaints) to assist in the understanding where product improvements can be made.
- Maintain an understanding of the legislation, technical issues and market developments impacting the protection and life investments market and support the team in managing the impact on customers and products.
- Produce relevant Management Information (Applications, Annual Premium by product, brand and channel)
- Produce and update protection and life investment product literature
- Management of third party relationships for WI
Qualifications:
- 2 -5 years of insurance and banking experience, with exposure to product management.
- Solid experience in bancassurance product development experience.
- Sound knowledge of insurance business, distribution channels, product development cycle and processes.
- Good problem solving, good negotiation skills, organisational, team working and communication skills are required to be successful in this position
