Compliance AML Banking Financial Crime Regulatory

My client is a leading and internationally recognised fiancial institution. The need has arisen for an addition 2 AML compliance analysts to assist, whilst the roles are temporary there is a significant project pipeline and a lot change going on internally so opportunities for extension are excellent. You will be based in either the Jersey or Guernsey offices and possess relvanet AML/Compliance qualifications.

THE ROLE:

  • Support the Compliance Function by providing day to day advice and guidance including financial crime to the CI Business.
  • Responsibility for aspects of the delivery of the team compliance, financial crime and sanctions plans.
  • Responsibility for assisting in investigations of regulatory breaches, significant complaints or other compliance and financial crime matters as they arise.
  • Responsibility for the production of compliance, financial crime and sanctions management information.
  • Delivering aspects of the CI compliance training plan.
  • Assist with the maintenance of manuals, procedures and processes
  • Assist with the maintenance of key compliance registers eg PEP, SAR, High Risk clients, PA dealing, gifts, business interests, attestations and declarations etc.
  • Participate fully in projects as appropriate.

Communications:

  • Assist with the management of the SharePoint Site, notifications and bulletins.
  • Communicate effectively and constructively with the wider compliance team and all other parts of the business.

Business/Market Knowledge:

  • Develop and sustain a broad technical knowledge across the AML and Compliance regulatory framework.
  • Update personal knowledge of business activities and products, ensuring that the reputation is upheld to the highest level possible in terms of compliance and reputation internally and externally and to give continuous consideration to treating customers fairly.

Internal Control:

  • Ensure all matters of concern or potential breach are escalated to senior management.
  • Follow Compliance team procedures.

Regulatory:

  • Follow best practice within the regulatory framework, suitability, conduct risk and Treating Customers Fairly principles.
  • Remain abreast of regulatory developments for Compliance/AML to identify any key changes.
  • Understand and apply Internal Risk and Compliance policy, process and procedures.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

AML/Compliance qualification

Excellent administration skills

Highly organised with exceptional planning skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to juggle multiple tasks with varying time-lines and deadlines with multiple stakeholder
