My client based in Edinburgh are currently looking for someone to join their team as a quantitative analyst with a focus on the creation and editing of financial models.
My financial client has a number of Excel models which are used for pricing, budgeting, forecasting and stress testing. These are complex spreadsheets, using Excel formulae and VBA- the end user interface is based on VBA user forms made accessed through the Intranet. The models are owned by subject matter experts in the wider Finance team and by product managers, with development and maintenance work undertaken by the financial modelling team.
The role holder will be responsible for developing the suite of Pricing models which requires an understanding of both the logic as well as the structure of the existing models. Engagement with external resources as well as internal is required, as well as the ability to offer advice on changes to the models and respective implementation (along with support from the wider team).
