Description
We’re an award-winning, Long Island-based digital & traditional agency looking to bolster our talented Creative team. We’re seeking a contract Interactive Designer able to architect and design unique and unexpected web design solutions.
You have at least 3 years of UX, UI and web design experience with a unique visual style and think user-centered design is the way. Your main weapon in your arsenal is Photoshop but you also have strong skills with the Adobe Creative Suite as well (e.g. Illustrator, InDesign to name a couple). You’ve dabbled in video work, motion graphics and love typography—you consider yourself a Jack-of-all-trades and Master-of-most. You have solid communication skills, can effectively solve problems, and possess a strong attention to detail. You eagerly stay on top of current design and interactive trends and technologies and love sharing new techniques.
You will work remotely but it would be beneficial if you had the ability to come in for meetings or even work on site from time to time. Since we are a busy shop, you will be expected to work independently and take the lead on projects while working with the Interactive Creative Director and Project Manager to deliver exceptional design solutions on time.
You must have:- An excellent sense of design and typography as well as an eye for detail.
- An online design portfolio (dribble’s a bonus!) and live examples of your work.
- Working knowledge of Content Management Systems (especially Drupal).
- Experience with wireframing/presentation tools like OmniGraffle, Invision, Adobe XD.
- Experience with the Adobe creative suite (specifically Adobe CC 2015, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator).
- An understanding of Responsive Web Design and mobile UX/UI.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- A high level of self-management and organizational skills.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with Front end development (HTML, CSS, JS).
- Experience with Front end development (HTML, CSS, JS).
- Experience with wireframing/presentation tools like OmniGraffle, Invision, Adobe XD.
