E-learning & Online/ Social Learning Lead

Pay Rate: £484 per day

Contract Length: 5 months initially

Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey

Essential Education

Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) OR able to demonstrate relevant learning technology experience

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to create training materials (both classroom and online) for a corporate audience.
  • Demonstrated experience of using Articulate Storyline 2 or similar tools to develop E-learning modules
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use a variety of design tools to create learning solutions such as videos, podcasts, interactive pdfs, infographics etc.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and ability to work effectively with different groups across a corporate environment.
  • Experience of working on multiple training programmes simultaneously
  • Experience of utilising face to face and virtual delivery methods for developing and sharing knowledge through communities of practice
  • Strong team player
  • Strong performance bias and high performance standards
  • Strong communication skills; oral, presentation and written

Key accountablilities

  • Learning design and development - design and develop learning interventions by identifying appropriate solutions and adopting and implementing learning technology as appropriate, for example videos, E-learning, online learning, virtual classrooms, web/mobile apps, podcasts
  • Blended learning - Identify opportunities for implementing blended learning solutions in support of 70:20:10
  • Technical design - recommend appropriate technical design solutions in support of Talent and Learning events across the Functions Academy
  • Team capability - develop the Functions Academy team's capability in the utilisation of learning technology solutions
  • Project management - project manage learning design activity, ensuring that projects are prioritised and implemented as agreed
  • Learning networks - engage with a network of virtual learning specialists across the Academies, sharing ideas and best practice to ensure implementation of high quality learning solutions
  • Innovative learning - explore new learning technologies and recommend solutions to further enhance the Functions Academy learning offer
  • Social learning - identify and utilise social learning channels to raise awareness of engagement of the Functions Academy learning offer
  • Team engagement - actively participate in all team activities, demonstrating the one team' value
