Responsibilities
During migration project, the SQLServer Administrator will be responsible for architecture analysis, software installation, monitoring system performance, maintenance tuning, account & password management, capacity planning, documentation, and root cause analysis of database server.
Main Tasks
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Cluster and always ON.
- Provide design, support, and administration of SQLServer from 2000 to 2014 releases.
- Develop data back-up systems, processes, and procedures
- Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation
- Installing/migrating SQL in clustered environments
- The role will be involved in capacity, DR and risk management
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Demonstrate an excellent knowledge in SQL database migration from old versions to SQL 2014
- Experience of SSIS, SSRS is essential for the role.
- Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to produce concise documentation for either technical or non-technical audiences
- Some understanding of virtualization (VMware) and storage (EMC, replication) technologies will be advantageous
- Support the development of policies, procedures, and processes for both operations and customer facing operations
- SQL Database Administrator with SSIS and SSRS experience
- Contrast experience into migration projects.
