Responsibilities

During migration project, the SQLServer Administrator will be responsible for architecture analysis, software installation, monitoring system performance, maintenance tuning, account & password management, capacity planning, documentation, and root cause analysis of database server.

Main Tasks

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Cluster and always ON.
  • Provide design, support, and administration of SQLServer from 2000 to 2014 releases.
  • Develop data back-up systems, processes, and procedures
  • Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation
  • Installing/migrating SQL in clustered environments
  • The role will be involved in capacity, DR and risk management
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Demonstrate an excellent knowledge in SQL database migration from old versions to SQL 2014
  • Experience of SSIS, SSRS is essential for the role.
  • Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to produce concise documentation for either technical or non-technical audiences
  • Some understanding of virtualization (VMware) and storage (EMC, replication) technologies will be advantageous
  • Support the development of policies, procedures, and processes for both operations and customer facing operations
  • SQL Database Administrator with SSIS and SSRS experience
  • Contrast experience into migration projects.
