Description
Key requirements:
- Create test cases/scripts required for the test phases, both functional and non-functional, from user requirements and functional specifications.
- Reduce the overhead on existing SME for test script creation and execution.
- Execute test case as required by the Senior Test Manager.
- Report, track and manage test case re-execution.
- Raise test defects as required.
- Support defect resolution and retests.
- Execute test process as required by the test strategy.
- Provide best practice guidelines on test case creation and execution.
- Act as the focal point for all test case creation and execution.
- Ensure accurate test case status reporting across test tools and reports.
- Support the Operational and ISD teams in timely test case execution.
- Understand and implement the process as defined in the Port of Felixstowe Test Strategy.
Suitable applicants will have:
- Detailed experience of system testing, project life cycle, test case and script creation, execution and management.
- Previous experience creating test cases and scripts based on high level user requirements.
- Previous project experience with large scale systems involving bespoke and COTS based products.
- The ability to be self-motivated with limited SME support in a complex environment.
- HP-QC Test Tools experience.
- The ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to issue resolution.
It would be advantageous to have:
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Level
