Senior SAS Consultant - Belgium - 12m Contract - €80 per hourOptimus Life Sciences are currently working in partnership with a global business based in Beligum. This organisation is going through exciting development plans and will be growing a new SAS Programming team throughout the course of 2016 and into 2017.
While we are recruiting for a lower level SAS Programmer, we are also very keen on speaking to Senior SAS Programmers who would be interested in providing leadership in this group and driving the growth forward and would offer this job on a freelance basis.
As a SAS Programmer Analyst you will have the opportunity to contribute to all stages of database studies, and develop knowledge of consulting methodology through delivery of engagements and participation in training.
Responsibilities
- Choosing appropriate approaches, data management, analytical and statistical design to meet study objectives
- Developing approaches to analyse a novel dataset
- Contributing to writing of study proposals, including statistical analysis sections
- Writing SAPs, specify for table shells and figures as required
- Management and supervision of junior programming staff including QC of study outputs
- Data preparation, management and analysis
- Specifying and extracting data from databases using SAS or SQL
- Preparing analysis datasets and analyse data according to study protocol or SAP
- Writing up and presenting results of statistical analysis appropriate for the intended audience
- Assisting in the dissemination of any clinically relevant findings through articles, posters and presentations
Requirements
- MSc or similar in Statistics, Bioinformatics or a related field from a good Western European Univeristy
- Strong SAS programming skills, at least 1-2 years
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under tight timelines with high quality deliverables
- Fluency in English
- Experience of SQL is desirable
- Interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
