Oracle Developer Contract - 12c Exposure
9 Month Oracle developer contract in Dublin city centre with the chance to gain Oracle 12c exposure
Main Responsibilities:
*Design, development and support of in-house Oracle integration applications and systems;
*Development and documentation to be carried out in line development standards;
*Software Development using Oracle Data Integrator and PL/SQL on Oracle 12c
*Guidance and training of in-house staff in the proper use of Oracle Data Integrator
*Ensuring the secure administration of source code versions
*Ensure a smooth integration of new operational systems and processes into existing systems;
*Completing detailed analysis and specification of technical requirements;
*Unit testing and factory acceptance testing of in-house developed applications and systems;
*Create technical documentation and user guides for end users.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
*A formal 3rd level qualification in an IT or related discipline;
*Minimum 4+ years of design and development experience is required;
*Strong background in the installation and configuration of Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) in a windows server environment with regard to fault tolerant enterprise design
*Strong background in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) best practice development across development/test/live environments.
*Strong background in data warehouse design and integration of heterogenous data sources using ODI including Real Time data sources necessitating use of Oracle Goldengate and CDC
*Background in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Query tuning
*Knowledge of materialised views, SQL loader, temporary tables, CDC and other oracle approaches to data integration
*Knowledge of .net framework and integration of ODI with .net applications
*Relevant experience in implementing enterprise solutions as described above, as well as production of technical specifications and support guides;
*Extensive technical and analytical skills;
*A proven ability to work effectively as part of a team;
*Previous experience developing & working with WebServices;
*Excellent communication and written skills
Desirable
*Experience of working in a regulated industry particularly the energy industry would be a considerable advantage;
*Practical understanding of Virtual Infrastructure
*Prior experience of using the VB.NET framework
