SC enhanced security clearance is required

If contractors have ANY spent or unspent criminal convictions for any offence including all cautions and bindovers, but EXCLUDING minor traffic offences, they will not be eligible. The post for which they have applied is NOT protected by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).

Selected contractors will be required to complete Security Vetting paperwork. Contractors MUST disclose if they have a criminal conviction or cautions, including those that are spent, as part of this process.

Under normal circumstances, contractors cannot start an assignment until security clearance has been verified (for contractors holding the required level of security clearance) or the security clearance process has been undertaken (for contractors without the required level of security clearance) by the organisation.

The full security clearance process can take up to 3 months from the date of the submission of accurately completed security forms for SC clearance and longer for DV clearance, depending on the level of security clearance already held.

The organisation reserves the right to bring contractors in on a risk management basis, after certain basic checks have been undertaken and in advance of full SC/DV security clearance award. Such roles will be offered subject to attainment and maintenance of the required level of security clearance.
