Description

A global client with offices based in Liverpool is looking for a contract Oracle BI Project Manager to lead a major BI implementation on their existing Oracle systems.

Oracle BI Project Manager key responsibilities will include:

  • Requirements Gathering - end to end process, data required, understand final use of report and the actions it drives, preferred display visualisation requirements and Translating into technical solution specifications
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of project
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Testing - oversee test criteria, test planning, execution and acceptance, ensuring the very highest level of quality on delivery
  • Data Analysis - identifying data source (In this case Hyperion) for data load to OBIEE
  • Experience of Oracle Financial Management Analytics (OFMA) (Desirable)
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks

Oracle BI Project Manager Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience in a systems project management role, within BI or IT projects.
  • Experience in running a project from definition of reporting roll out
  • Experience in establishing and managing processes for change / project management
  • Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience of Oracle applications and BI stack
  • Ability to engage with and manage stakeholders at all levels in the organisation
  • Excellent ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

You should have proven BI project management skills and understand the technicality's involved in data acquisition and reporting.
