Role Purpose:
HSBC's Regulatory Compliance Monitoring and Testing (RCMAT) programme provides ongoing, periodic monitoring and comprehensive testing for adherence to RC requirements. The bank's RCMAT model will operate consistently in all countries to deliver greater transparency and consistency o1f the reporting of global RC risks. RCMAT Managers are a key Compliance role, responsible for coordinating RCMAT activity either Globally, Regionally or with in-country.
Accountabilities:
The Global Risk Methodology Manager is a key Compliance role, responsible for contributing to the design and maintenance of Global monitoring methodology, governance, standards, processes and procedures (and training thereof) for the Global RCMAT function.
The key purpose of this role is to assist with embedding this methodology and delivering training to RCMAT colleagues as well as:

Providing ongoing support to Senior RCMAT Management;

Stakeholder management with internal & wider stakeholders across the Three Lines of Defence (TLoD)
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:
- Proven track record in Financial Services operating on a Global level.

Very strong knowledge of risk compliance requirements and risk-based monitoring techniques, almost certainly gained through a background in, and a recognised professional qualification in Audit.

Varied business and regulatory experience, the latter acquired via Compliance roles and/or time with a regulator.

Strong IT skills including audit-type workflow tools, databases and web-based applications;

Good working knowledge of RC requirements and risk-based monitoring techniques;
