A Renewable Energy client is looking for a Measurement Manager to work onshore on its offshore wind farm project. The client is looking for a consultant to work as a Measurement Manager on various offshore wind farm projects. This is a part time position working on average 3 days per week, 8 hrs a day, the workload is estimated to be 60%. This is a freelance contract position with role expected to commence from the 1st August 2016 and end by 31st July 2017 with the option to possibly extend further thereafter.Job Description:
The role to work as Project Manager for the Measurement sub-package, which will include measurement campaigns on structural loads, wind, wave and power curve verification. The individual will also be responsible for Met Mast maintenance and specialist on floating lidars.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure QHSE is built into all measurement campaigns from the start
- Setting up relevant measuring campaigns related to WTG and foundations in close collaboration with other technical and commercial disciplines
- Ensure that the project is on time and that deliveries and quality are within the scope
- To ensure that best practices are implemented by the entire measurements team
- MSc in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical experience
- 4 - 6 years' experience with construction and/or wind business preferably with a wind farm development company
- 3 - 4 years. working in a Matrix organisation
- Must have relevant GWO certification
