SQL Management system engineer
For our client the main responsibilities are Application Management different applications used in the two sides off the business (Concrete and Aggregate)
In Aggregate they use an application Alpha which is a custom build application (Web Front End + SQL Server 2014)
The consultant role is to troubleshoot any problems with the SQL part off the application, or to write SQL query's (basic), for the latter he is supported by an external partner to write more complicated SQL queries. So you could describe this role as SQL Management
There is still an older part off the application which is being migrated but runs on Oracle instead of SQL, so he also does Oracle Management
In Concrete they use an application CE which is also a custom build application to support various parts of the business (invoicing, deliveries, warehouse, tax flows probably panama papers stuff)
The role here is the same but the SQL version is SQL 2005, troubleshooting and SQL management in general.
