Power Supply Engineer - Automotive

Amoria Bond are looking for a Power Supply Engineer to join a global automotive company based in West Midlands on an initial 6 months contract with the likelihood of long term extensions. You will have the opportunity to work on the latest technology whilst interacting with a multi-disciplined team of passionate engineers.

The successful Power Supply Engineer will be responsible for the design of power systems for a variety of high performance, high voltage hybrid systems including on board chargers and DC/DC converters.

You should be able to demonstrate a combination of the following skills/experiences:

*Excellent knowledge of electronic engineering practices including safety, thermal and EMC best practice.
*Experience with high performance power supplies
*Understanding of hybrid systems
*Experience with design verification
*Fault finding and resolution including data analysis
*Experience creating schematics and driving design layout

Desirable Skills:

*Experience working with high voltage, up to 1KW
*Experience with high power electrical drive systems upwards 100kw+
*Experience designing 3-phase inverters
*Experience with Orcad or similar
*Experience with simulation tools- LTSpice or similar
