I have a new and exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst/Modeller to join a large and prestigious financial services provider in Bristol on an initial contract to 16th December 2016 to develop complex actuarial models in line with company development process, maintaining their reliability to enable key management decisions to be made.

The successful candidate will design a range of modelling solutions, ensuring they meet customer requirements and document them to agreed standards. You will also liaise with Model Owners to schedule and prioritise developments as well as provide technical modelling advice to colleagues and customers. You will also maintain a key understanding of modelling practices to ensure that the company's models are current and valid.

In order to be considered for the above role, you will require:

  • In depth knowledge and experience of actuarial concepts and techniques
  • 3+ year's experience of Actuarial Modelling software (Prophet essential)
  • Strong Excel VBA skills
  • Ability to identify specific outputs and investigate issues
  • Solid oral & written communication
  • Ability to follow approved development process and documenting it.
