Support and Development Engineer
Job Description:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Support and Development Engineer to join a leader in technology solutions.
Support and development for the CLAM 2 application is currently performed remotely by a small support team, two developers, one infrastructure engineer and one tester. The customer is based in Telford. Two CLAM 2 instances are maintained, Secret and Restricted. The Secret and Restricted Servers are both located in Telford. Changes to the CLAM 2 application are received via RfCs from the customer. In addition Live support is required to deal with any issues or defects arising in the Live application, for which SLAs are in place.
ALM is currently used on AII for all of our projects and also the NSoIT project. The NSoIT project will be migrated to UKSN in the future. Main duties for this role involve administering ALM and also looking after the sync between ALM and StarTeam.
We have a need for a Support and Development Engineer for providing both support and any further development required on CLAM and ALM.
The successful candidate will be required to be security cleared to SC level.

- VMWare Workstation 12 Pro (used to maintain Development environment)
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Windows 7 (64-bit) Enterprise (Secret clients are still on XP, Restricted are W7)

- Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 (used to store all source code, for development and for creating builds and releases)
- Team Foundation Server/TFSBuild
- WIX & distribution by MSI and Microsoft Setup bootstrap (to create Client package for installation on customer clients)
- Microsoft SQL 2005 and SQL Express 2008 (CLAM uses SQL databases)
- Microsoft Reporting Services 2005 and Report Builder (for CLAM reports)
- IIS (CLAM Data Access Framework and CLAM Web Services installed)
- ASP .NET
- MS Composite UI Application Block (CAB) and the Smart Client Software Factory (SCSF)

- ETL Processing (for upload of CLAM documents and CLAM validation processes)
