Proteus Europe is searching for a Researcher with Security authentication for a very interesting project for one of our global clients based in Belgium.

Your New role:
Our client is seeking a senior researcher to participate in a two year open innovation project in cooperation with local universities. This project targets researching new frictionless authentication technologies in order to create novel user experiences for our clients products and strengthen our clients already impressive patent position.
The project includes prototyping in order to validate the new ideas in practical use cases. When the project is successful, it will give rise to subsequent development projects at our client where the technology is further developed and brought to product level ready for integration into the extensive range of our clients products on the market today.
Your Skills and experience:
Essential Skills:
- 2+ years of research activities in a company or university involving prototyping in software and preferably on a security related subject.
- Strong and up to date background in security, especially authentication technologies
- Strong background in statistics
- Background or keen interest in machine learning
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with generating ideas for patent creation
- Master or PhD degree
Desirable Skills:
- Good Software Engineering skills, insights, and experience
- Mastery of an interpreted language like Python or Ruby
- The ability to be productive in a team, to assist and guide other team members when required, and to help improve the teams productivity
- The ability to work independently and pro-actively
- A strong quality orientation, combined with a pragmatic attitude to deliver
- Strong command of English
- Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills
