For an infrastructure project at the Madrid location of one of our cuastomers, we are looking for a Symantec DLP Solution Architect as follows:
Project Background:
Our customer's Infrastructure IT is delivering a new project called "Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP)" in 2016. "Data Loss Prevention" is a security mechanism to monitor and alert if eg sensitive or confidential data is being moved out of pre-defined storage or fileserver areas. The project is just starting and will close at the end of 2016. It will design and implement a global Data Loss Prevention infrastructure across the whole company based on the Symantec DLP product suite (focus on the "data-at-rest" module and partially on the "data-in-motion" module).

We are looking for a Symantec DLP products expert who will be working in Madrid.
Start date: 18.07.2016
End date: 16.12.2016
Work location: on-site in Madrid/Spain
Work load: part time, 80%. Working days can be planned flexible
Travelling: 10%, mainly to Basel, Switzerland
Solutions Architect Tasks:
The Solution Architect will join the project team in Madrid and will support our customer with defining and documenting architecture and design. Recommending a DLP design serving the IT's specific needs on a global scale, respecting our customer's standards and processes, documenting the design and drawing/writing related formal documentation (project deliverables) together with our customer's Engineering will be part of his activities. A knowledge transfer of the DLP solution from the Solution Architect to the involved Engineering and Operations team is part of the project goals. In addition, the Solution Architect will support the Operations team with the implementation/configuration of all fileservers/Sharepoint Servers in scope, ie execute the implementation together with IT Operations (may require weekend work).
Skills/Requirements:
- Recognized expert-level knowledge on the Symantec DLP products
- 5+ years experience with implementing the Symantec DLP solution on a massive, global scale at comparable enterprise sizes (3 comparable implementations with references)
- S/he is an official partner/3rd party supplier of Symantec for the Symantec DLP solution and has direct and fast access to Symantec in case of questions/clarification needed with the vendor
- 8+ years experience with working on global enterprise IT projects
- Excellent understanding of complex landscapes and relationships (business, systems, policies, etc.)
- Excellent ability to communicate to others not only what is being done and how, but also why
- Flexible to travel to Basel/Switzerland 1-3 times (3-5 days each) during the project if required
- Flexible to work on selected weekends if required by the IT maintenance guidelines during DLP implementation
- Fluent in English (written/conversations/negotiations)
