Unified Communications Network Architect/Unified Communications & Collaboration Architect (UC&C)
London - Contract - £pd - 6 months Initially - Global Law Firm
Working on behalf of a global Law Firm based in Central London who currently seeks a contract UC&C specialist to design, architect and implement for a specific global programme of work.
Not only will you be required to have worked across those three areas and worked on global programmes previously, you'll also have experience of strategic road mapping to help advise the business on their forthcoming technology implementations relevant to UC&C and what direction to follow.
As mentioned, this role is to deliver a specific programme; Unified Comms and Collaboration.
The current environment consist of Cisco Call Manager 9.1 with full IPT in all offices globally, there are several clusters across the globe. They have a Cisco video conferencing Back End infrastructure. Instant messaging and basic desktop sharing is provided by Microsoft Lync. The aim of the project is to implement a fully integrated video, audio, desktop sharing and messaging environment for internal and federated external use. They are currently a Cisco house and are likely to be more pre-disposed to their product set to deliver this capability.
Your experience should cover:
- Significant experience of communication and collaboration solution design and architecture across multiple regions based on Cisco technologies.
- Capable of producing full and complete network architectures in accordance with prevailing architectural conventions (eg TOGAF)
- Experience of working within an environment where end user applications are delivered via Citrix XenApp Server. Appreciation of the nuances, requirements and limitations this environment will impose on a solution design.
- Experience working as part of a project team with the confidence and knowledge to influence technical decisions
