Description

My client based in the West Midlands is keen to recruit an experienced MBA qualified knowledge and strategy manager to work within the Procurement Change team. The role would suit an enthusiastic articulate MBA qualified consultant who has worked within a complex procurement function. You should have broad business experience but be able to demonstrate previous experience of defining strategy, working with key stakeholders and partners across an organisation to deliver clear benefits.

Key responsibilities for this role include.

Knowledge Management

Design and deliver a Purchasing Taxonomy of Best Practice and Lessons Learned.

Conduct research to identify industry trends and best practice capturing them and assessing their application to the clients strategies and initiatives.

Work with key stakeholders to actively capture and share Knowledge throughout Purchasing and other business areas.

Design and deliver the Purchasing knowledge Management process.

Strategy Development and Implementation

Design and deliver Purchasing leadership team strategy events and other interventions to achieve alignment on the clients desired outcomes and objectives.

Work with key stakeholders to define and scope interventions that will form the basis of the strategy; ensuring the strategy is aligned and connected with other product and non-product related strategies.

Work with the clients Group Strategy team to ensure Purchasing strategy is aligned with corporate strategy process and timetable and provide inputs to the clients strategy forums.

Identify Purchasing impacts of corporate strategy and work with stakeholders to integrate those impacts into functional strategies and scorecards.

Work with Business Planning Manager & Governance groups to manage the strategy as an ongoing program plan; overseeing the overall performance.

Develop and embed key Purchasing metrics and work with Business Planning Manager to ensure the strategy is deployed through the appropriate functional plans.

Behave as a role model, bringing the strategy to life' - find ways to show how future trends may impact on Purchasing management.
