An exciting opportunity for a Oracle Database & Linux Administrator has arisen in Luxembourg.
To apply for this role you must have the following skills/experience:
- University IT degree with minimum 4 years' experience in IT, or non-university degree with minimum 8 years' experience in IT
- 2-3 years of experience in Oracle database management analysis & support ICT projects
- Technical skills required in OS RedHat Linux, Database: Oracle, MySQL, Shell Scripting
- Optional technical knowledge is required in NFS, Oracle RAC, Oracle EM, Apache, Tomcat, Drupal
- Fluent in French and English is a requirement, both written and spoken
As a Oracle Database & Linux Administrator your tasks & responsibilities will include:
- Administration of Oracle databases with a focus on daily operations
- Deployment of new versions of applications on different environments (integration, acceptance, production) and follow of the deployment cycle
- Monitoring the activity of databases and preventive and corrective actions
- Monitoring and performance tuning of databases
- Oracle Software Installation
- Creating, starting, and stopping Oracle databases
- User management and security
- Management of DB backups, Performance Tuning
- Administration of Linux RHEL
- Installing RHEL Servers and maintenance (patches, upgrades)
- Administration of hosted infrastructure level products such as Drupal and technical components associated
- Integration and maintenance of the monitoring platform (Icinga/Nagios)
- Participation in an Oracle database infrastructure of our migration project to new hosting platforms
- Writing documentation environments and maintenance procedures
