Description
My client an Energy company based in London requires a Web Designer.
There are two main facets to the web designer role:
- firstly supporting the timely and accurate publishing of relevant and engaging content on to my clients website (and via email to our newsletter subscribers) using their CMS tools;
- secondly, to provide creative support to my clients editorial team - creating graphics, page designs, (within the constraints of their CMS), email templates and building/managing off-platform tools.
Experience & Expertise (Typical educational qualification & experience)
- Must have a good portfolio of live work. Even if this is their own website.
- Must be have a very good understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Must be able to code in HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery and PHP
- Experience working with third party API's would be useful
- Strong understanding of website design, accessibility and usability.
- Good understanding of website analytics.
- Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- A strong eye for design
- Good written skills
- Able to work directly with customers
Key Results/Accountabilities expected from role
- Ensure the timely and accurate publishing of reputational (occasionally out of office hours), legal and financial content, news, features and information on to key sections of website and via our email marketing tool.
- Be able to repurpose content and deliver high quality web pages, understanding UX and editorial principles and best practices.
- Will be able to design infographics, icons, charts and graphs using Adobe Photoshop based on the design briefs provided by section editors.
- Be technically able to understand third-party tools and help build and integrate them into the website ecosystem using HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery and PHP.
