Electrical Project Engineer
One of our Renewable Energy clients is currently looking for an Electrical Project Engineer, to be working on one of the biggest Offshore Wind Farm Projects in the UK.
This will be an office based role with occasional travel to the site.
Principal Accountabilities:

• Project expert for electrical systems (principally for Offshore Sub-Station)
• Co-ordination of all work package specific tasks, external and internal
• Collaboration with other departments (procurement, operations, logistics, etc.) and key stakeholder relationships (partners, regulatory authorities, GL)
• Negotiate electrical technologies with suppliers
• Ensuring quality of the work package as well as HSE standards
• Management of consultant subcontractors
• Liaison with the site team & project quality team to ensure design compliance.

Skills & Experience:
Essential:

• University degree or comparable graduate education in electrical engineering or automation
• Chartered Electrical Engineer
• Experience in project management of offshore wind or similar energy industry projects
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, able to drive innovative and strategic thinking
• Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively within a multicultural project team
• English fluent speaking/writing
• Strong co-ordination and leadership skills, highly motivated, confident and resourceful
• Willing to travel frequently

Knowledge of:

• Switchgears GIS, AIS (LV, MV, HV)
• Transformers (dry, oil-, for LV, MV, HV)
• Cables (LV, MV, HV, fibre optic, signal cable)
• Establishing specifications for related electrical equipment and services
• Basic understanding of SCADA/HMI and Remote Control Systems

Familiar with:

• Offshore transmission substations design and construction
• Cable design and installation at 132kV and below
• Management of subcontractors incl. claim management
