*Corporate Trust EMEA Regulatory Administration Office Analyst- Asset Management Custodial Bank, 6 months*

Position Summary:

The Regulatory Administration Office (RAO) will be responsible for oversight of the operational effectiveness of Corporate Trust EMEA's systems & controls to hold and protect client assets (cash and non-cash) and for the ongoing business operational compliance with EMEA Client Asset rules and regulations across multiple international locations and jurisdictions. Key remediation and Business As Usual programmes of work include UK FCA CASS and Belgium Client Asset Protection. The group will partner with CT's Strategic Regulatory Affairs group, compliance, risk & legal to advise the CT executive and ensure existing, upcoming and relevant regulatory changes are clearly distilled, communicated across the division, evaluated with their downstream effects on operational practices fully understood and owned by process owners with a comprehensive plan to embed process controls to apply the regulation within the 1LOD/business.

A key component of the group is to maintain the data integrity of the Master Book of Business database which records all CT EMEA deal appointments, contracting legal entity detail, specific governing contract repository location and linkages to underlying books & record systems. The position has responsibility to build and maintain an effective regulatory reporting infrastructure for CT EMEA and support the production of key-critical monthly CT Management Information, CT's input to firm level legal entity regulatory returns (eg UK FCA Client Money and Asset Return) and own the CT Resolution Pack (CASS RP).

S/he will be responsible to collate and coordinate all material and information requests and be the key support to the Head of CT EMEA RAO and Approved Persons. S/he should have a good product/technical understanding of the CT EMEA business and have an enquiring, analytical mind-set. S/he will be responsible for identifying and producing reporting any instances of BAU regulatory breaches to internal governing bodies and internal control groups (eg compliance, audit, risk & legal) as a result of late or delayed system controls and deal documentation on behalf of CT EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintain the data integrity of the Master Book of Business database which records all CT EMEA deal appointments, contracting legal entity detail, specific governing contract repository location and linkages to underlying books & record systems. Data management of approximately 67,000+ records with average new debt issuance of 250 per day. - 70%
  • Responsibility to build and maintain an effective regulatory reporting infrastructure for CT EMEA and support the production of key-critical monthly CT Management Information - 15%
  • Responsible for CT's input to firm level legal entity regulatory returns (eg UK FCA Client Money and Asset Return) and own the CT Resolution Pack (CASS RP). 10%
  • Responsible for identifying and producing reporting any instances of BAU regulatory breaches to internal governing bodies and internal control groups (eg compliance, audit, risk & legal) as a result of late or delayed system controls and deal documentation on behalf of CT EMEA. 5%

Essential Requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of the Corporate Trust business is an absolute requirement. This knowledge will be necessary to enable the successful candidate to understand the how best to reflect CT deal structures and data records to comply with the EMEA regulatory environment.
  • The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate and provide practical operational solutions to regulatory challenges.
  • Operational compliance with EMEA client asset rules and regulations is critical to maintaining the bank's brand reputation and CT's leadership position within the industry.

Problem Solving:

  • The EMEA regulatory environment is highly complex with variances across multiple jurisdictions and regulators. CT EMEA operate under heightened regulatory focus with compliance standards are continually raised.
  • The successful candidate must have be able to absorb knowledge of the EMEA client asset rules and be able to think creatively to apply to the CT books & records model
  • The successful candidate will need to have an analytical mindset.

Nature & Area of Impact:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing data maintenance and compliance with EMEA Client Asset rules and regulations.

Interactions/Interpersonal Skills:

The successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills.
