1) STB Automation Engineer
Brampton, ON
Contract: 6months +
Responsibilities:
- Rich Experience designing & developing Automation framework for SetTopBox
- Leads complex test automation efforts using Storm Test and Java for large Agile software projects and identify innovative solutions to solve complex test problems
- Developing, and maintaining an innovative test automation system for the organization
- Define automated test criteria and develop automated test scripts for all the functionality that meets specified automation criteria
- Works closely with the application architect to develop a solid testing solution, working towards the future state of the application architecture
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering and/or equivalent formal training
- 10+ years of experience (Role 2)/5+ years of work experience (Role 1) in related IT field.
- Must have experience architecting, developing, and maintaining an innovative test automation environment including test automation framework.
Required Skill Set:
- Must have experience in STB automation using Stormtest
- Strong understanding and Programming experience in Core Java & Object Oriented Design and development. Must be hands on with Java coding skills.
- Hands on experience with Automation framework development is required
- Programming/Scripting experience with Python.
- Must have experience of working in a multi-location team environment.
- Experience with source code revision control systems GIT or SVN
- Hands on experience on Selenium/Appium will be a big plus
- Understanding of IPTV domain and technologies will be a big plus.
- Knowledge of OCR/Image Recognition will be good to have
- Knowledge of Page Object Model will be good to have
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities, set expectations and get things done
- Ability to work effectively and independently on multiple simultaneous tasks within a fast pace environment, yet a strong team player
