Oracle DBA Skills:
- Experience in Database Administration of Oracle 7, 8, 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g and 12c Pluggable databases on Operating systems HPUX, IBM AIX, RHEL, Solaris and Windows.
- Experience in working with database sizes ranging from
- Exposure to OEM 10 and 12c to configure and monitor alerts, blackouts, install and administer agents.
- Experience in administering and maintaining Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Datagaurd and Streams Replication Environments.
- Experience in installing Oracle Homes, creating normal databases and 12c Container & Pluggable databases as per client standards.
- Experience in applying Quarterly Security patches manually and also automatically using BMC BladeLogic Database Automation Tool (BDA) after the approval from client.
- Experience in upgrading databases and Plan upgradations from Oracle 7 and above versions to latest Oracle 12c.
- Experience in using BDA to Prepare Patch Packages for Client's environment, test prepared packages in Lab Environment, perform upload, edit and export packages in the repository and push packages to Databases.
- Experience is configuring and performing RMAN Backup and Recovery for higher database versions and using online hot tablespace/database backups for older database versions. Also should be able to schedule these backups From OEM12c and cronjobs.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex oracle database issues and Oracle software bugs by engaging Oracle Support and Client.
- Experience in Database Performance tuning. SQL Tuning will be an added advantage.
- Perform User Access and Security Management and comply with Client Security standards.
- Experience in Oracle Advanced Security Option (ASO), configuring Oracle Wallets and Transparent Data Encryption will be an added advantage.
MS SQL DBA Skills:
- Experience in Database Administration of SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 (R2), 2012 and 2014
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues. Determine the most effective way to increase performance through Hardware, Configuration changes.
- Experience in implementing/administering High Availability solution like Database Mirroring/AlwaysON availability groups, SQL Server Clustering (Active/Passive), DB Mirroring, Log Shipping and Replication
- Experience in Performance Tuning, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience in Database Security and Access Management (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges). Ensure security standards are complied with for Database Servers.
- Ensure that new Database/Instance build/installation meets organization standards
- Good Experience in Upgrade/Migration of SQL Server Databases from 2000, 2005 to higher versions
- Experience in troubleshooting SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS, ETL), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Service (SSAS) & Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) issues
- Experience in Database Backup/Restore/Refresh procedures
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex MSSQL database issues and DBMS software bugs by engaging Microsoft Support and Client. Prepare RCA and address root cause.
- Manage multiple offshore team members, provide 24X7 support seamlessly to client
- Exposure to SCCM, WASUP (Windows Automated Server Update Process) patching (Service Pack, CU) of MS SQL Server will be of added advantage
