This role will be responsible for the management off all Windows 7 projects relate SCCM activities as covered in the required skills below.
The client has a large and complex environment with multiple domains and approximately 16,000 managed computers.
Key tasks
- Work with project team support all activities to enable the successfully deployment of Windows 7.
- Work with IT management to ensure all SCCM deployments are in compliance with overall IT policies and standards
Required/Desired Skills
- A superior knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007& 2012 and experience in managing large environments.
- Solid working knowledge of the Installation and problem resolution of SCCM clients and release management deployments to 16000+ clients.
- Knowledgeable SCCM in security patch processes and Software Updates
- Technical troubleshooting skills (WMI, SQL language for query and report development
- Working knowledge of OS deployment in SCCM( image management, task sequences) Windows Imaging & OS Deployment
- Good knowledge on Mass Software Distribution, Collection Creation and Managing Advertisements
- troubleshooting on SCCM/ConfigMgr Distribution failures and Validating Packaged Applications for Deployment Readiness
- Creating Query based Collections/Custom Reports
- Day-To-Day SCCM Activities/Troubleshooting/Managing/Maintaining
- Application publishing
- Solid understanding of MS Windows server administration (eg MS Windows Server , WSUS, WINS/DNS/DHCP Servers, print Servers, etc.) and Network Management.
- Experience of creating reports using SCCM Reports/SQL Reports
- Experience in service support and delivery of standard/approved updates, software distribution, OS Builds and associated components
- Solid knowledge of Scripting (Batch files, VB.NET, Powershell)
- Solid understanding of standard Client Server, networking and Internet fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of Packaging and Sequencing
- Strong knowledge of Windows Update Services
- Able to learn company specific applications
- Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.
