FPGA, Altera, Xilinx, Hardware Design Engineer x 2 - CONTRACT

Location: West Midlands
Duration: 9-12months +
My long standing global market leading client requires the services of an experienced Hardware Design Engineer/FPGA Design Engineer/Firmware Engineer to add value to a high profile project.
Experience/Skills required:
* A good experience of hardware and firmware development and particularly using Altera FPGA.
* Knowledge of Altera range and Xylinx AURORA link Protocol
* Produce appropriate or review documentation of the existing implementation
* Improve the robustness of the current implementation (resilience to corrupted/invalid data).
* Familiar with version control software (svn)
* Verify the code with test harness (conformity, robustness)
* Able to develop test program using C code under Visual or other environment (or Python - Desirable, not essential)
* Awareness of normalized type tests (Temperature, EMC, etc..).
* exposure/experience with Verilog will be desirable, not essential.
