Description

Procurement Analyst required for a 3 month contract based in Kingswood.

Skills:

Needs to come from either a Procurement or Analytical background

Can easily adapt to new environments

Will have a strong understanding of Excel

Strong communication skills

Will be Analytically driven

There are a number of base line requirements that need managing. Will spend some time filling in the gaps.

Contract initially 3 months. Currently enough work until the end of the year

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain an accurate procurement pipeline - outcome: the pipeline will be an amalgamation of various sources of information into a single source document which will show current individual workload by procurement professional. For unallocated projects, there will be a section for actions required, budget position, business case position, date action allocated to a procurement professional and the anticipated outcome/date. For the Expiring contracts (by type/size) a separate workbook will be added (to be taken from the current information source) so we will be well informed on where we need to apply effort proactively. The pipeline will be able to provide a sensible overview on what we are doing with our time. The pipeline will have a section for individual procurement colleagues to fill out weekly updates as the status of the work changes.

2. Weekly meeting output recordings - outcomes: all the monthly reporting requirements will be the driver of future weekly meetings so we can shift gear to a revised dimension. The procurement pipeline will be used in the weekly meetings to allocate activity segments to those with interest and/or the relevant knowledge and to review priorities. This will ensure that we always understand our true capacity and true utilisation. The structured meetings will focus our thinking so we can release capacity by better understanding our customer engagement requirements aligned to the pipeline.

3. Savings tracker management - outcome: an up to date and a live position on cost avoidance and actual savings.

4. Sourcing summary worksheets - outcome: up to date information available to feed into the monthly information provision.

5. Risk register - outcome: project risks and mitigating actions and assigned ownerships - will be reviewed in weekly meetings and updated.

6. Management of IT mailbox engagement requests - outcome: feeds into the pipeline for an up to date position.

7. Generate POs and carry out low level P2P activity - outcome: introduction to P2P and introduction to buying (on-job training will be provided).

8. Assemble a procurement document library - outcome: all current documents (with version control) to be available in a structured format to the team in one place.
