Euro Consulting EMEA are currently hiring a team of DevOps Engineers for one of the largest Devops Projects in Europe. Our Financial client is currently rolling out a huge Financials programme( Jupiter) to continue through .
We require Dev Ops Engineers with experience in the following:
- The design and implementation of continuous delivery practices
- Approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery and release of software
- Approaches and tooling for automated software assurance and QA.
- Defining and managing a roadmap for the implementation of DevOps in an enterprise IT organisation
- The use of Public/Private cloud and Virtualisation Technologies is Beneficial
- Service support - the use of DevOps, Continuous Delivery and ITIL concepts as part of an effective support operation
- Experience of technical architecture ie the design and delivery of IT systems for a broad range of clients
- Experience of Agile and Lean Software delivery methodologies
- Experience of leading consulting engagements (dependent on grade)
- Working within a structured environment, including the use of structured methods and approaches and modern development tools.
- Solid System Administration skills in Linux.
- Solid understanding of SQL/XML
- Solid knowledge of Scripting languages (eg Java, JavaScript, Perl, Bash, Python, Ruby, R etc.)
- Good app server knowledge (Tomcat, JBoss, etc.)
- Experience of supporting high availability (24*7*365) systems
- Full appreciation of the standard software delivery life cycle based on the Agile methodology
The project has been built from the ground up using Java, Spring, PHP and Angular. We're also keen users of Node.JS, Scala and Ruby and python; the right tools for the job will be your team's decision. The infrastructure has been planned built in AWS however this may change moving forward. with an obsession for security and automation using AWS tooling in addition to puppet and ansible. Prior use of this tech stack is ideal, including experience of working with AWS and you will be well versed in managing infrastructure for cloud operations.
