Software Delivery Consultant/Technical ConsultantOracle, MS SQL, WebSphere, UNIX, Windows, C++, Java, SOA, Web services, J2EE, MQ, Scripting languagesBulgaria£350 PDOur client a major Telecommunications company are looking for a Technical Consultant to lead Technical Design Workshops and Requirements Definition and Creation of specifications through to sign off stages of the project.
The ideal Technical Consultant will be required to create Technical Requirements in line with allocated budget and encourage simple implementation and support, and provide expert product and technical advice and support throughout delivery cycle. The Technical Consultant will be required to resolve issues and provide insight and direction in deliveries.
The ideal Consultant will need to provide Close Support for the clients project management throughout the delivery life cycle, and help in the Sales Process providing Demonstrations/Presentations to be recognized as the 'technical solution expert'
Technical Consultant Key Responsibilities:
- Add value to clients business through demonstration of solution technical benefits and design recommendations
- Provide insight into technical design impacts to deliver, make recommendations for ease of deliver and support
- Lead technical Design Workshops Definition and Creation through to sign off
- Engage global functions/business/product consultant appropriately. Provide technical customisation using standard components (ODBC, XSL)
- Providing guidance and best practice approaches to software development using Object Oriented development process
- Accountable for quality and re-usability of software hooks and bureau links
- By request, support Sales Consultants/BDMs, providing technical presentations and Solution Expertise
- Understand high level solution design requirements and produces
- Actively engage Technical staff appropriately for staff development purposes
- Assist with interpretation of technical design and ensure that configured solution reflects signed off design
- Support all on-going technical development and integration activities
- Ensure the configured solution is delivered to a high quality and is fit for purpose
- Responsible for ensuring that the client gets necessary support for technical integration activities
Technical Consultant Key Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of selected solutions capabilities, design, functionality and benefits
- Windows and/or Unix OS and one development language
- Knowledge on industry standard technologies (Oracle, MS SQL, WebSphere, UNIX, Windows, C++, Java, SOA, Web services, J2EE, MQ, Scripting languages). TCP/IP Communications; XML and XSLT skills (SOAP interfaces and style sheet development)
- Advanced knowledge and significant experience of the SDLC and Agile delivery life cycle
- Good knowledge of a structured project management methodology and tools.
- Good knowledge of systems, processes, applications and technology supporting applicable solutions and how they support/impact solutions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation capabilities.
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel and work in/manage remote geographical Matrix managed teams.
- Fluent English speaking and writing.
