Description
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The CNC Machine Shop Foreman will be responsible for the set-up and some programming of CNC machines mills and lathes. Supervise CNC shop and personnel, assist with scheduling of jobs to ensure that customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
Essential Functions
- Supervise CNC shop and personnel
- Set-up and some programming of CNC mills and lathes
- Assist with scheduling of jobs throughout the shop
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
Competencies
- Ability to use measuring tools and equipment to ensure tight tolerances
- Lift 50lbs without restrictions
- Ability to complete work and assignments under strict timeliness
- Written and Verbal Communication and math skills required
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & AS 9100
- Strong leadership and teambuilding skills
- Knowledge of Centerless Grinders and Brown/Sharp Automatics
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional machine shop environment. This role is required to wear the proper personal protective equipment and will require majority of time standing and walking.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full time hourly position. Days/hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
- 5+ years of experience with set-up CNC equipment
- 5+ years of Machine Shop experience
- High School Diploma
