Description

An exciting opportunity for a Quality Consultant is available in Brussels, major center for international politics and home of numerous international organizations, politicians, diplomats and civil servants.

Nature of tasks:

  • Contribute to the creation and the revision of test plans;
  • Contribute to definition of project quality plans;
  • Help to identify project and product risks from quality control perspective;
  • Identify and elaborate test cases in collaboration with application developers, analysts and business representatives and support to the construction of test scenarios and scripts;
  • Execution of assigned tasks and recording of daily progress within the supporting planning tools;
  • Reporting and presentation of work progress;
  • Help IS Testers in tests case and test scenario execution on different platforms and browsers of the integrated systems, including defect creation and defect follow-up;
  • Advice on test automation strategy and identification of regression tests including maintenance of test script repositories for updates to existing software.

Knowledge and expertise required:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant studies and experience after the secondary school;
  • Minimum 4 years of IT professional experience;
  • Basic level of quality consultancy in the context of business workflow application testing acquired during the IT professional experience;
  • Knowledge of quality procedures;
  • Proven knowledge of testing methodologies and standards;
  • Being able to understand well requirements analysis and application for web applications and web services (UML);
  • Understanding of relational databases (Oracle) and service testing using SOAPUI (WSDL, XSD understanding);
  • Capability of integration in an multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working;
  • Quick learning ability, organized, versatile and a results-oriented team player;
  • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments;
  • Fluent in English and French.

Assets:

  • ISTQB certified;
  • Experience of application life cycle management tools RTC, RQM and RRC;
  • Experience of Planning and Defect management is required;
  • Experience in this domain using Rational Team Concert is considered as an advantage;
  • Experience in testing information systems business processes (finance, procurement and accounting) in public institutions;
  • Understanding of TMAP methodology.

The candidate should be able to start the position as soon as possible. This position is offered as a long term freelance contract.
