Owned Media Manager | Entertainment & Broadcasting | Contract | London | £240 PD | ASAP Start

My client is a well-known household brand within the entertainment & broadcasting space with a huge global network.

Purpose of the Role;

Responsible for the planning, management and execution of a broad range of Owned Media (OM) campaigns to support key client franchises and properties in the UK and EMEA, liaising with Franchise Leads and LOB Heads to ensure full understanding of business and marketing objectives, and devising OM plans across all channels (including on-air, online, social).

Support for the ongoing analysis and evolution of the OM planning and delivery process to ensure marketing efficiencies across the company: delivering fiscal year Owned Media Value (OMV) targets across the region (across Broadcast, Digital and Social).

Key areas of Responsibility:

  • Work with Senior OM Manager to consider all channels within OM mix to identify most effective support, including on-air, online and social.
  • Drive innovation in leading bespoke OM solutions that effectively address business and marketing objectives, utilising the unique properties of OM channels (including on-air, online, social), assessing the unique properties of all available channels in terms of cost, reach and response-rates, in order to advise most effective OM solutions to meet specific objectives.
  • Lead communication process to local DCs/OM contacts to ensure Regional Franchise/Property OM strategies are being implemented locally.
  • Manage the implementation of OM campaigns in the UK for specific Franchises and Properties, ensuring optimum levels of OM airtime are achieved for campaigns.
  • Manage process and optimisation of online commercial inventory across company ensuring cohesive commercial and editorial placement with DI teams.
  • Maintain a full understanding of airtime restrictions by channel by market, and be able to communicate knowledgeably to various stakeholders around the business.
  • Work with Senior OM Manager on bi-annual and annual OM review process to ensure Owned Media Value (OMV) is being delivered in line with fiscal year targets.
  • Work with Senior OM Manager, Finance and Media Agency to establish EMEA AOP forecast numbers for TV, Online and Social.
  • Lead post-campaign analysis process for specific campaigns including review of airtime efficiency, effectiveness of creative executions and reporting back to relevant stake-holders around the business.

Relationship Management:

Manage relationships with key stakeholders around the business, including:

  • Regional and UK Franchise Teams to understand specific franchise objectives and how OM can best support and help meet requirements
  • Regional, Global and UK Studio teams to feed in specific detail on assets and appropriateness for specific markets, discuss regionally lead initiatives (Programming specials, Competitions etc) and to manage UK specific implementation.
  • Regional and UK LOB contacts to understand specific product release/campaign objectives and to plan OM campaigns accordingly - including Interactive, Destinations, Live Events, Music Group.
  • Digital Marketing Team to ensure on-air and online OM plans are planned in Tandem, and are complimentary.
  • Regional Programming teams to consider franchise briefs and impact on related programming activities, ensuring OM plans are complimentary.
  • DM+ on specific UK implementation of OM plans, both in terms of air-time and commercial online inventory available for OM.
  • Regional and UK Social teams to consider how OM plans can be extended into the social space.
  • Regional Production and Creative teams to ensure regionally produced OM contents are being developed in line with Franchise/Property objectives.
  • Local company Channels/OM contacts to ensure local plans are in line with Regional objectives.
  • Global DC to input on the specific requirements of local territories on Franchise and Property support content.

  • Knowledge of TV rating systems and digital advertising a plus
  • Great understanding of TV production and marketing
  • Very strong planning and time management skills
