Description
Performance Engineer - Windows, SQL Server, .Net, C# is required by my client who is based in London.
Required Skills
- Excellent knowledge of the entire IT stack including networking, server and storage, databases, Middleware and applications
- Excellent project delivery skills including planning and quality management
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, ability to gain confidence of project teams and customers
- Excellence in building strong customer relationships
- Strong .NET & C# experience
- Strong skills on Windows
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server
Required Experience
- At least 3 years experience in delivery roles in performance engineering
- Experience of working on High Transactional Systems
- Background in resolution of technical issues and managing teams to success
- Technical background in project delivery or operational services
- Experience working with 3rd party suppliers and offshore teams
- Ideal candidate comes from a Development & Operational background
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out end to end analysis of system stability and performance, including networking, infrastructure and application/DB (Windows .Net, SQL Server based architecture)
- Identify performance issues and bottlenecks
- Identify stability issues and recommend solutions
- Review .net & C# code for coding best practice
- Input into the performance testing approach
- Analyse output from performance tests and provide recommendations
- Working with technical teams to identify bottlenecks and tune the application
- Be able to confirm the scalability and capacity of system under load
- Provide hands on guidance on the best technical solutions in relation to Performance
- Assisting the business and Product Owners with defining NFRs
- Help to motivate and manage a team of technical project resources
- Communication of complex technical problems in simple terms
- Provide technical leadership in re-writing code where applicable
- Resolving problems and leading in team in problem solving
- Regular status communication
