Global Estate Manager - Applications & Infrastructure - Banking - Central London
Square One are looking for a Global Estate Manager to come on board for a 6 month contract based in Central London paying excellent daily rates
Reporting into the Infrastructure Management Lead, the Infrastructure Estate Manager role is critical to the ongoing management of the global markets platform with a focus on pushing through all critical Infrastructure change. The Infrastructure manager will be assigned to 1 or more global markets functions and will be responsible for overseeing the transformation of all platform components within that area utilizing standard components where possible and patterns defined by Infrastructure Architects in conjunction with key Development Leads and CTOs through the infrastructure architecture board.
Responsibilities/Tasks
Infrastructure Inventory Management
Estate Reporting and Review with Application Owners, Developers and Support Leads
Platform Trend analysis and recommendation for change
Prioritization of Infrastructure change programmes within operations technology, working in conjunction with Infrastructure Architects and Application owners to agree a plan to implement the ops strategy
Build strong relationships with associated change management and implementation teams within the Production organization both HP (Nucleus) and dedicated internal teams.
People Management
Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to influence change across a Matrix organization
Confident communicator
Capable of building and maintaining strong networks within large scale organizations.
Experience/Exposure
Minimum of 10 Years within a Project/Infrastructure Management roles.
Strong Communication and Influencing skill set - previous experience of large scale infrastructure transformation programmes are very desirable.
Experience of Cost Model definitions and their affect on the enterprise is desirable.
Strong Leader, able to work in virtual, global teams in a Matrix organization.
Significant experience in one or more relevant technical discipline.
Education/Certification
Undergraduate Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent diploma/work experience).
Exposure to and working understanding of TOGAF or other industry standard architecture framework.
