Description

Harvey Nash's Edinburgh based client requires a Media Manager & Editor to join their team on an initial 3 month contract.

You will be tasked with managing media activities, campaign planning, providing expert advice on media handling and responding to media enquiries.

You will be joining an existing Communications Team, where you will also be responsible for generating articles on the work of the company for external publications.

Essential Skills:

. Experience of working in media management is essential
. Public Sector Media experience
. Skilled in minimising the impact of negative press
. Existing strong two-way relationships with journalists
. Social media account management and growth experience, and experience using Social Media to reach target audiences
. Skilled in working to tight deadlines under pressure
. Content Management system knowledge
. Experience of content writing for multiple channels and audiences
. Skilled in marketing, able to deliver rounded marketing and PR campaigns

Experience with government communications principles would be highly advantageous, as would experience presenting and interviewing broadcast media.
