Beacon Hill Technologies has a 6+ month contract opportunity available for a QA Developer.

Job Details:
Mainly providing support for the Web Services group. They have grown the population using web services and they are providing support for that organization from the aspect of web services. They will be doing things like enabling capability, creating auto scripts, troubleshooting issues, being able to create solutions to problems. All done with SOA, SOAP, XML, Java in the testing environment.
- Successful pre-production testing (fully-executed test cases, with actual results matching expected results), such that the releases are production-ready.
- Test documentation and software documentation aligned with Westfield standards.
- Evaluation of requirements for accuracy and testability
- Development of the manual or automated test scripts
- Establishment of new or modification of existing test scripts, utilizing the services automation tool
- Execution of test cases to evaluate system quality relative to business requirements
- Logged and documented test outcomes/results
- Collection and analysis of various testing automation metrics
- Provide timely communications on progress/status of test development efforts
- Integration of automation tools with build/deploy tools as part of a continuous integration strategy
- Analysis and recovery from execution errors
- Test scripts library maintenance
- Reporting of bugs through Test Management Tools, provide reports on bug and verify high priority bugs are escalated
- Provide recommendation for test strategy/test approach improvements
Job Requirements
- Basic Soap Messaging Protocol knowledge
- Basic knowledge of build/deploy tools (Jenkins, Anthill, or similar)
- Prior experience using automation tools (SoapUI, Parasoft, or similar)
- Experience using HP Quality Center (now ALM)
- Experience in web services testing
- Experience in Data driven testing methodology
- Proficient in XML and SOA technologies (XML, XPath, WSDL, XML Schema)
- Proficient in SQL
- Proficient in Java (Groovy experience is a plus)
- Mainframe experience is a plus
