Description

Accountabilities and Responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide 3rd level support for a variety of Financial & Risk Applications with an emphasis on Treasury systems, especially OPICS supplied by MISYS
  • Analysis of problems, including root cause analysis.
  • Communication with other support teams including Infrastructure & development teams
  • Adhere to SLA or OLA within the technical and business communities. Work to improve all services offered to our Customers.
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for system changes & issue resolution.
  • Develop solutions to solve business problems and enhance functional performance
  • Undertake System, Functional and Integration Testing to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and production. Implement small change requests, bug fixes and configuration changes.
  • Have involvement from requirements gathering phase through to project close out on large scale enterprise wide projects.
  • Work on large projects through all phases including requirements gathering, design testing & implementation.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills & commitment to develop a strong rapport with colleagues and customers
  • A strong focus on delivery and quality
  • Experience of utilising and optimisation of SQL
  • Previous experience working within the SDLC streams
  • Practical knowledge of various Operating System platforms including Windows, Unix & Linux
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning and optimization to include benchmark tests
  • Knowledge or experience of project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and practices
  • Knowledge of IIS, WebSphere, & MQ
  • Knowledge of OPICS and Capital Market systems
  • Relationship management skills - ability to develop and sustain positive partnerships and be a team player.
